PRESIDENT”S REPORT : Hello, Everyone,
I have had the honor of being the state president for yet another year.
I thank you for the pleasure. I realize that the newsletter has not gone out as often as we would have liked but due to illness of several council members, it hasn’t happened. Please forgive us for this.
It has been a busy year despite all the problems the council has encountered. We held all the usual functions very successfully. So much so that we have ended the year with a small surplus. We have had good attendance to all the events, but it could be better. We have a rather large membership base compared to other divisions around the country, but we don’t get the attendance at functions we should. As your president and head of the council I would like to invite you to answer the questionnaire that our secretary Sandy Triplett, who has graciously accepted the position, will be sending to you. This way we can plan things which you will want to put on your calendar and attend. As you look at the newsletter check out the pictures and read about the events which took quite a great deal of planning. We could use help in planning and in attendance. There are openings on the council and on subcommittees. Consider helping and coming to each and all the things held by the association.
We were able to donate $1278 to ‘Operation K9’ this year and have decided to support this as our charity for this coming year as well.
I would like all of you to think about attending the federal conference as that is where you get the real scope of the organization, plus you get to meet some really great people.
Enjoy this newsletter and think about how you can contribute to the association. See you soon!!!
